A Scotts Soil Test measures four properties of your lawn, flower or vegetable soil. Each soil test report will indicate the analysis of each of these soil properties. The Scotts Soil Test does not test for nitrogen in the soil because nitrogen is a very mobile element in the soil and it is depleted quickly. The mobility of nitrogen in the soil makes it impractical to analyze in a home owner soil test
